I developed tendonitis in both wrists working as a teamster in a warehouse last summer. Most of the time it’s fine, but I work in an office and the typing sometimes upsets it. I also ride my bicycle everywhere rather than driving, and I get pain shooting down my wrists when I ride. I have custom splints but they are too stiff to wear when typing or riding. I prefer not to take ibuprofin or other painkillers any more often than is absolutely necessary.
I plan to see my doctor about this sometime in the next couple of months, but if anyone has any short-term solutions or suggestions, I’d appreciate it. Thanks!
I had tendonitis in my hand and the doctor had me soak my hand in hot water for 15 minutes four times a day and wear an ace bandage to prevent using it. The second part is kind of hard if you have a typing job.
I would seriously consider accupuncture.
Hi there, I have tendonitis as well in my wrists. All I can say is take frequent bakes when typing. I went to my doctor about 2 weeks ago, and I had a custom splint made for my left wrist. If that doesn’t help he said that he may have to do an MRI. Good luck, I know how painful it can be!
Look at natural glyconutrients. Read the testimonials on my page
and the infomation.
You can try getting a cortisone injection which will help to subside the inflammation, take nsaids by mouth and possibly wear wrist splints when you sleep which will help. As your doctor when you go to see him. If you have no nsaids like Mobic, Celebrex, etc, try Ibuprofen or Aleve. Good luck.
